We have all heard of the divine feminine and divine masculine, but what of divine androgyny? What do trans people have to teach about spirituality outside of currently existing systems/dogmas/traditions? And then, what traditions and archetypes do we as trans people have to turn to? Does our spirituality also have a “form” of its own? This course will touch on the alchemy of gender transition, trans ancestral lineages, accessing prayer as a queer/trans/GNC person, and how to cultivate a sense of belonging in the world through deepening our relationship with ourselves and with the divine. All genders very welcome, although this class will distinctly center trans/gender non-conforming people & experiences.
Jonah Welch is a mystic and visual artist working across such diverse media as drawing, painting, devotional poetry, prayer, the healing properties of gemstones, and the study of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Jonah’s practice is deeply rooted in exploring their experience of being and becoming Trans as a means of engaging with the divine. With over 10 years of exploring trans spirituality under their belt, they are now beginning to teach the foundations of their practice to the public.
