Although the surrealist Leonora Carrington is known for her novels, short stories, paintings and drawings, only recently was it discovered that she also created a Major Arcana tarot deck. This talk delves into how the artists’ study of the tarot influenced her entire body of work and complimented her other esoteric interests and explorations. Each card of the deck will be discussed along with other relevant paintings by Carrington.
